Pregnancy Yoga

PregnancyYoga for pregnancy can help women have a healthier and happier experience of pregnancy and birth.

Pregnancy is a very special time in life and these classes will offer:

  • a time for you
  • a space to relax
  • an opportunity to meet other pregnant mums
  • a safe place to discuss and share issues that may arise during pregnancy
  • gentle yoga postures to help maintain strength, flexibility and balance
  • movements using birthing balls
  • breathing skills to help relaxation and support movement
  • preparation for labour using Active Birth principles and practice

Classes are suitable for women from their 14th week of pregnancy up until birth.

Post Natal Yoga:

Post Natal yogaIt takes time for the body to recover from the experience of pregnancy and child birth and the post natal period can also be very demanding.

Post natal yoga can offer an important support during this this special and important time.

These classes can be beneficial in many ways and offer:

  • a time to look after you in the initial months after birth
  • an opportunity to meet other mums
  • safely tone the body and calm the mind
  • a safe place to address any health issues that may arise during this period
  • gentle yoga postures to help maintain strength, flexibility and balance
  • gentle breathing skills to aid relaxation and support movement
  • increase your knowledge and awareness of the importance of good posture
  • time to practice healthy ways of being

Whole Woman Yoga

Whole Woman YogaThis is an approach specifically designed for women, based on female anatomy. At the heart of this way of working is the posture. Whole Woman yoga is beneficial for all women of all ages and stages of life.

It is especially beneficial for pelvic & hip joint health, as well as good for general health and well-being.

I have incorporated the Whole Woman principles into my Viniyoga personal and teaching practice.
